Forge for Zoom

Forge is a business operations platform. Its Zoom integration brings your cloud recording transcripts into Forge and turns them into tasks, decisions and meeting notes, so the follow-ups from a call end up on your board instead of in someone's notebook.

How to add the integration

  1. Sign in to Forge at theforgeai.app.
  2. Open Calendar in the left sidebar, then the Meetings tab (your Zoom recordings).
  3. Click Connect Zoom and approve the requested permissions on Zoom's consent screen.
  4. You are returned to Forge, and the page shows the connected Zoom account.

The connection must be started from inside Forge, because it is stored against a specific workspace.

How to use it

After a Zoom meeting with cloud recording finishes, Zoom notifies Forge and the transcript is imported automatically. You can also click Check Zoom for new recordings on the Meetings page to pull in recordings from the last 30 days.

Open a meeting to read its transcript, and use Find tasks & decisions to pull the action items and decisions out of it (Read it again redoes it later). Those become tasks and decisions in your workspace, linked back to the meeting they came from.

Transcripts are only available once Zoom has finished generating them, which can take from a few minutes to an hour or more after the meeting ends. Audio transcription must be enabled in your Zoom recording settings.

What Forge accesses, and what it stores

  • Your Zoom profile — read once to identify which account was connected. Forge stores only the Zoom user id and email address.
  • Your cloud recordings — read to list your own recordings and download their transcript files.

Forge does not create, modify or join meetings, and it does not access anyone else's recordings.

Access tokens are stored encrypted and are scoped to a single Forge workspace. Transcripts and anything derived from them are visible only to members of that workspace.

How to remove it

You can disconnect from either side:

  • In Forge — open Calendar in the left sidebar, then the Meetings tab, and choose Disconnect Zoom. Owners and admins also find it at the bottom of Team & company → Company settings.
  • In Zoom — go to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Forge and click Remove.

Either way, Forge deletes the stored Zoom access and refresh tokens for that connection. Meetings and transcripts already imported stay in your workspace under your control, and can be deleted from within Forge at any time.
